Professor Anthony O’Sullivan is Professor of Medicine at UNSW Medicine, Sydney. For the past 9 years, he has been the Program Authority (Head), head of curriculum, student affairs, and assessment, for the UNSW Medicine program. His educational research interests are the assessment of medical students, and the teaching and assessment of professionalism. He has a particular interest in portfolio examination and how it can help students’ develop reflective practice.
His biomedical research interests are the hormonal regulation of body composition and energy metabolism especially in pregnancy. Professor O’Sullivan has published widely in high-ranking journals in endocrinology and metabolism, as well as medical education journals.
Professor O’Sullivan is Head of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at St George Hospital and Sutherland Hospitals, Sydney, Australia.

Dr Partha Sundaram is a Sydney based consultant renal physician who strongly believes in building relationships with patients to enable them to navigate the complex nature of kidney disease and to help them improve their quality of life. He values the importance of providing information that patients need to help make informed decisions regarding their health care. He appreciates collaboration with other members of the respective health care teams.
He has experience in the management of hypertension, electrolyte abnormalities, glomerulonephritis, kidney stone evaluations, kidney failure including acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis and provision of care after kidney transplantation. He is involved in supervision and training of advanced trainees in the performance of renal biopsies. His passion is in teaching and improving education of trainees.
He works as a staff specialist nephrologist at the St George and the Sutherland hospitals. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is affiliated with the ANZ Society of Nephrology, The Transplantation Society, AMA, and American Society of Nephrology.

Dr Michael Reyes is a dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist, bringing extensive clinical experience in managing a wide array of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and bone metabolism disorders, pituitary conditions, and the endocrinopathies related to steroid use and organ transplants.
He was instrumental in establishing the first Endocrine Transplant Clinic at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, where he designed protocols for diabetes and osteoporosis screening in transplant patients. He is actively involved in the Pre-gestational and Gestational Diabetes Clinics at St George Hospital and leads the Transition and Young Adult Diabetes Service (TrYADS), where he helps young patients navigate the challenges of managing diabetes as they move from adolescence into adulthood.
As a Staff Specialist at St George Hospital and a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, Dr Reyes is committed to advancing his field through continuous education. He regularly participates in national and international medical conferences and is an active member of key professional societies, including the Endocrine Society of Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, the Australia and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society, and the US Endocrine Society.

Dr Thaw Htet is a consultant endocrinologist who is committed to providing excellent quality patient care. She underwent endocrinology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. She holds a Master of Science in Diabetes and Endocrinology from the Barts and London, Queen Mary University of London. She is currently undertaking a PhD project at Garvan Institute of Medical Research through the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her PhD project is a study of personalised management of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Her research has encompassed gestational diabetes, type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome and bone disorders. Her research has been presaented in international and national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Thaw Htet holds a conjoint associate lecturer position at UNSW and enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors at St Vincent’s Hospital. She is a member of the early career committee at Endocrine Society Australia and is involved in developing strategies to promote career opportunities and development for endocrine trainees and young endocrinologists. She is a member of European Society of Endocrine (ESE) Endocrine Society Australia (ESA), Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), Australia and New Zealand Bone Mineral Society (ANZBMS) and Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society (ADIPS).
She accepts referrals from all aspects of endocrinology and has a special interest in weight loss management, reproductive endocrinology, different types of diabetes and bone disorders.

Dr Shejil Kumar is a Consultant Endocrinologist with expertise in managing osteoporosis, bone health and thyroid disorders. He completed his specialist training at St George Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Westmead Hospital. He is currently undertaking his PhD at The Kolling Institute, University of Sydney (USyd). His PhD project is a clinical trial combining exercise plus medication for better bone and muscle health in postmenopausal women over 50 years. He has extensive research experience in diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid disorders including thyroid cancer and endocrine-related genetics.
Dr Kumar holds a Clinical Associate Lecturer position at USyd. He is a member of early career committees for both the Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA) and Australian & New Zealand Bone & Mineral Society (ANZBMS). He is passionate about promoting career and professional development amongst training doctors and researchers and is founder and host of a medical podcast "Hormone Hotseat".
Dr Kumar accepts referrals from all aspects of endocrinology medicine and has special interests in bone health, osteoporosis and thyroid disorders.

Dr Amir Aarabi is a specialist nephrologist who delivers patient-centred care, guided by the latest evidence-based practices. Through open communication and shared decision-making, he fosters a collaborative environment for his diverse patient population, offering services in both English and Farsi.
He has extensive experience treating a wide range of kidney conditions, from hypertension and acute or chronic kidney disease to dialysis and renal transplantation. Beyond his clinical duties, Dr Aarabi is actively involved in nephrology research, presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Aarabi’s academic path began with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) at Monash University, establishing a strong foundation in pharmacology. After completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2015, he went on to specialise in nephrology at Royal North Shore Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, and St George Hospital. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), he upholds the highest standards of ethics and clinical excellence.
Through compassionate care, ongoing research, and patient education, Dr Aarabi remains committed to improving the lives of individuals with kidney disease. He ensures that each patient receives the support and guidance needed to make informed decisions about their health.

Dr Patricia Reyes is an experienced and compassionate geriatrician with a career dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. As the Director of Medical Services at the War Memorial Hospital, Waverley and a Senior Staff Specialist Geriatrician at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, she works across the spectrum of acute geriatrics, geriatric rehabilitation, and multi-disciplinary specialist clinics, including the Cognition and Falls Clinics. She works with the WMH Geriatric Flying Squad, providing valuable community outreach to elderly patients.
In addition to her clinical roles, she is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UNSW and holds several leadership and advisory positions. She serves on the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training Committee as the Lead in Site Accreditation and the NSW Co-Coordinator of Advanced Training. She is actively involved with the Australia and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine, South East Sydney Local Health District (Aged Care and Rehabilitation Stream), and City of Sydney Elder Abuse Collaborative.
Associate Professor Reyes’ research interests are broad, encompassing dementia and neurocognitive disorders, falls prevention, and the innovative use of virtual reality in patient care. Passionate about health justice and person-centred care, she continually collaborates and works towards integrating evidence-based clinical practices and research initiatives.
