COVID-19 and Telehealth

We take your safety seriously. This practice is taking the necessary precautions to stop the spread of novel coronavirus and protect its patients.

We have many immunocompromised patients, i.e. transplant, pregnant, or elderly. They are particularly vulnerable to severe forms of the coronavirus, and it can be life-threatening.

• If you have flu-like symptoms or have been in close contact with Covid patients, we appreciate you not coming in and possibly exposing others to illness. We will try our best to reschedule your appointment to the most convenient time when you are well or have completed your period of isolation.
  
• We are adhering to strict social distancing, so there will be a maximum of 4 visitors (patients and relatives) inside the premises.
  
• On your arrival, please see reception. If the clinic is full, we may ask you or your companion to wait outside but will call you when it is your turn.
  
• We have taken extra precautions with hygiene practices and have increased frequency of cleaning, especially with frequently touched areas.
  
• We encourage frequent hand hygiene and have hand sanitisers available for your convenience.

If you are particularly vulnerable or at risk of contracting coronavirus, we highly encourage that you choose this telehealth option and avoid unnecessary exposure.

• For pre-existing bookings or consultations, we can change these to telehealth appointments, just call (02) 9553 0155 and we will give you further instructions.
  
• For new referrals, kindly send your referral letter from your doctor by email to info@myspecialistssydney.com.au so we can determine if telehealth is suitable for you.
  
• As we are not a bulk billing practice, telehealth consultations will attract a Medicare rebate and may include private fees, depending on government specified Covid-19 criteria. Please call us if you have questions around the consultation fees.
